May we never let things we can't have or don't have or shouldn't have, spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. For one of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be HAPPY without the things we can't or shouldn't have...

1 Syawal 1435H

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

Firstly, alhamdulillah for another chance to another round of Ramadhan. May we all be blessed with more and more coming Ramadhan. Ohhh...how I wished that we get a full month break from work during Ramadhan just to focus ourselves doing ibadah every single minutes that we had to achieve more pahala.

Secondly, I am grateful for being able to celebrate Raya moderately. With Palestinian people in Gaza being killed everyday especially in the holy month of Ramadhan and, without any chance to celebrate the victory after fasting in the month of Ramadhan, it just felt terrible to be extra happy when our Muslim brothers and sisters and especially the children are no longer able to find peace on this day.

But anyway, Raya holiday has always been waiting for. This is the only time in a year that most of us get a loooong holiday in kampung. A time worth spending with families all day long. A chance to rekindle some things that have been missing due to distance or lack of communications. A day where children are too happy to wear their baju kurung and baju melayu and songkok and collect duit raya and last but not least, the day to take compulsory family potrait at the same spot over and over again :)

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri
